DESCRIPTION
Golden Hind Museum Ship, Brixham Harbour, is a full sized replica of Sir Francis Drake's iconic ship. In 1577 Golden Hind set sail and travelled for over a thousand days, between five continents, covering 36,000 miles. The trip was a spectacular success, bringing back enormous riches for the investors; in particular Queen Elizabeth l. The first replica of Golden Hind was moored in Brixham Harbour from 1964. This was replaced by the current improved version in 1988, which features a heavy steel hull for stability and strength. The ship is considered by many as "Brixham's Treasure" and it holds an important place in the hearts of the local community. It sits proudly on the Quayside, in Brixham's Harbour and has been featured in numerous festivals, displays and TV shows. Currently open for business as a visitor attraction from early March to late Oct annually. The draft trading accounts show a profitable business and an excellent opportunity for a new owner.

The 2018 admission charges are Adult £7, Child (over 3) £5, Family ticket £20 and Senior Citizen £5. This unique business is being sold for the second time in 54 years.
